How to do a DNS Lookup using Track DNS in cPanel

The Track DNS feature in cPanel uses the basic host
command to perform a DNS lookup to return general DNS information about the domain, including server IP Address, A records, MX records, and more.
Some web hosts do not grant access to this feature.
How to perform a DNS Lookup in cPanel
The DNS Lookup functionality is contained within the Track DNS feature. The tutorial below takes you through the process of using this feature to look up a domains’ DNS records.
- Log in to cPanel
The first step is to log in to your cPanel admin area. Your web host will have sent you details on how to do this in your welcome email.

- Click on the Track DNS Feature Icon
Under the Advanced Panel, click the Track DNS icon.
- View results
The final step is to view the results.
