I have been in hosting purgatory since EIG aquired my first love, Site5 and laid off their entire US support team rendering the company and its services to garbage. I have used VPS services rendered by a friend of mine until now.

I switched to Siteground (actually had hosting services from them maybe a decade ago) and they’re really great. I got Cloud VPS for its Wordpress monitoring and tools. Unlimited Cpanel accounts and $150 a month for really decent hosting and great technical support.

I have a team to lean on again! These guys are really helpful and I don’t have to fix everything. I just had a problem with an archaic Joomla 1.8 legacy site after migration and they helped me work through the problem. It wasn’t a tough fix, but the fact that I didn’t have to figure it out is priceless. I know I can count on them (like I counted on Site5 before the went to the dark side).

EIG is evil. Google it. Siteground is good.

They have been outstanding from the beginning. I left them for a short while and came right back because the others I’ve tried are so awful. They take technical issues seriously, try to fix things quickly and explain technical procedures carefully so I’ve had all great experiences with resolving mine. Most importantly, they specialize in serving solo entrepreneurs and small businesses and they don’t make us feel insignificant compared to large corporate clients. I highly recommend them!

Perhaps the first thing I’ve noticed about SG is their responsiveness. The tech support phone number is answered by human 247. Their response time is, in my experience, second to NONE. On many occasions, they could have sold me a higher package and not knowing any better, I would have went for it, but instead, they worked with me and made sure that my needs are financially suitable.

I chose Siteground as they have the best performance and options for my photography website. Also, they have 247 technical support and is quick, knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. In the 2 years I have had my website hosted with them, I have only contacted them a few times. Mostly during the setup of some advanced website settings and minor billing issues that were my own fault, not site grounds.

After long tribulations on where to move my website from a lackluster hosting co, JustHost, I chose SiteGround because of its customer support 5-star ratings on most review sites. They did not disappoint. The support is extremely fast -within minutes- and all issues are addressed - even those sometimes falling out of the scope of the basic support - into development etc. Very friendly but above all, very savvy and knowledgeable.

After many awful experiences with Fatcow, 1&1 and eUKHost support, I am so relieved to have moved to SiteGround and discovered that others’ reviews of their brilliant support service were accurate.

I’ve found that the ticket support was efficient (no more waiting hours for replies), professional, knowledgeable, helpful (as in actually!), and the whole process felt easy and resolved so effortlessly.

A German guy that I know who is really thorough with everything told me to go with SiteGround, so I did, and boy did I make the right decision! The best customer service and support team I’ve ever experienced - I wish all helpdesks were like these guys! I love the online support chat - they really try their best to help you with issues. The workers must be being treated really well as usually bad service is from disgruntled workers who are being treated unfairly. If I were technically minded, I’d apply or a job at this company! Another support desk company were giving me the run around and taking weeks to solve a plugin issue I was having, I turned to SiteGround and their level 2 team sorted it out professionally within 40 mins! If a German tells you that a company or product is good you had better believe them! SiteGround has so many good reviews, and they deserve it! Thank you for this service SiteGround!

I highly recommend SiteGround especially for beginning bloggers who struggle with complexities of maintaining a blog. In my 10-month self-hosted blogging, I must say that SiteGround has solved all the problems I have encountered including setup, fixing errors, and others.

I can instantly request for a help through chat with their technical support representatives anytime, even when simple curiosity about plugins or services arises. Yes, their representatives sometimes do the favor in doing the solutions for me. SiteGround is the king!

No issue hosting WordPress, been using for a month. It’s time for renewal and contacted customer support for discount option during Black Friday and Cyber Monday but replied - at first offered 20% discount but later was told since I was with them for less than a month I won’t have any discount (renewal price was already discounted).

Quick answered but confused for a while with false hope… LOL.

SG have excellent customer service. I’ve used them twice now, once on initial setup of my hosting account and then again to add a new domain.

Each time I used Live Chat which was answered in under 3 mins, all my questions were answered and the Reps helped me with everything from redirecting the name servers to helping me install Wordpress. They are always friendly, quick to respond and so knowledgable.

I have upgraded after just 6 months because they aer such good value.

I have been using SiteGround for years for numerous accounts and domains. I have never had a poor experience. The customer service has always been fantastic and their admin interface is incredibly intuitive compared to other hosting providers I’ve used.

Also worth noting is the only downtime my site has experienced has been my own fault, and they fixed it immediately.

I am extremely angry that I’ve wasted 10 minutes trying to access either ticket submission or live chat. The reason I recommended many clients to use Site ground in the past is because of the outstanding and easily reachable support. They have made it increasingly harder to reach a human being, and are moving toward the impenetrable system many other hosts use as they grow a larger company. I had to battle through screen after screen of FAQs and knowledgebase with no clear link to access ticket or chat. the chat link at the top kept forcing me back to login again, and I had to search extensively to find the ticket option, whereas it used to be easily reachable on the right-hand column. The support staff are excellent, my issue is with the architecture of the Site Ground support system. I am very disappointed, after referring many clients to give them their business. My sites also seem to have slowed down, although I haven’t tested this for sure.

I’d like to further add that when I contact you guys I get really tired of hearing how it must be some coding problem on our end because it’s a custom website. I’ll fix the code if it’s on our end. So when I contact you guys don’t sit there and say, “oh it must be a coding issue”. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this from support and I’m sure it won’t. be the last. But stop passing back to the customer like we did something wrong. Also it would be a good idea to figure out who, what or why the version of php was changed on us so that this can be prevented in the future. Our clients don’t particular care for their websites to be offline.

I keep having problems everytime I buy a new domain and try to connect it to Dreamweaver via FTP. Luckily their support chat is always very helpful but spending more than 30mns having them fix the errors and actually having to deal with someone when I’m supposed to be able to do it myself like I used to with GoDaddy and HostMonster is a bit annoying. Good service though!

SiteGround Chat service, 247 has solved so many situations for me over the years.

ALL Hosting Providers should realize how CRUCIALLY CRITICAL it is to get at-the-moment Technical help on website issues. Time is critical and the ability to actually check on environments and make changes on the spot is HUGELY NECESSARY.

I’ve used all the major and semi-major hosting providers since 1996. Tons of Frustration with each.

SiteGround still amazes me that they GET IT and KEEP Getting It that guys like me will abandon an account if we have to Wait Days for an E-Mail from somebody who cannot understand the issue, or who inists “Everything is working”

SiteGround Bulgaria takes care of my Chats and it is a huge relief to know that I can go to Chat and get connected with people who really know their business and can even make account changes on the spot.

Steliyan took care of me today, but they have all been great and timely in response.

I was with Bluehost for a year. I experienced down time all the time. There were a couple of times my site was down for 3 days, and once they lost my whole site, and I had to rebuild from scratch. I’ve been with Siteground for 2 months and I’m so much happier as are all the bloggers and admins who run the site. We have steady uptime, and consistent service. The Siteground team are exceptional and completely competent. They are quick to fix any issues (I’ve rarely had to contact them), but I’m impressed with how amazing the whole team is and their response time is fast and efficient. I was skeptical after my really bad experience with Bluehost but I would recommend Siteground to anyone searching for a provider.

This company after having gone with various others for hosting since I became involved in 1995 with eCommerce is hands down the best one I have ever had. I believe you are the fastest most reliable web hosting at the moment ONline but there is one small problem, iam in the usa and there is not customer support for the spanish community, we also need your hosting services, I wish you could implement that in the usa because i believe you are the best hosting company now, but my clients are mostly spanish business, thankyou.

I couldn’t find this quality of service anywhere else. An old plugin had put some code into my functions.php file that was making it impossible to remove another plugin, that we no longer need, without breaking the site. The technician found the issue, added a bid of code to fix the issue, and deactivated the plugin. I am so impressed with SiteGround!

I have been using them for a few months now. I have been going back and forth between having three sites to one and dealing with the redirects and SSL. It isn’t clear via Control Panel on how to do all that, but their support is quick, knowledgeable, patient, and polite. Makes up for the learning curve. We had a very slow wordpress site and wanted a fast host with top technical skills and help for a great price. Guess what, we found hidden treasure at SiteGround. Perfect. The SiteGround pre sales guy was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and helped us thru the process all the way. Site migration was handled by technical support experts and a number of migration and CDN setup tweaks were handled efficiently and fast. Our helpdesk tickets were answered and opened within a minute or so and we are extremely happy with our “Go Geek” package. They also have Cloudflare CDN and SSL as standard as well as their own cache software and all run thru your own Cpanel. Brilliant, what is not to like.

I am extremely angry that I’ve wasted 10 minutes trying to access either ticket submission or live chat. The reason I recommended many clients to use Site ground in the past is because of the outstanding and easily reachable support. They have made it increasingly harder to reach a human being, and are moving toward the impenetrable system many other hosts use as they grow a larger company. I had to battle through screen after screen of FAQs and knowledgebase with no clear link to access ticket or chat. the chat link at the top kept forcing me back to login again, and I had to search extensively to find the ticket option, whereas it used to be easily reachable on the right-hand column. The support staff are excellent, my issue is with the architecture of the Site Ground support system. I am very disappointed, after referring many clients to give them their business. My sites also seem to have slowed down, although I haven’t tested this for sure.

I’d like to further add that when I contact you guys I get really tired of hearing how it must be some coding problem on our end because it’s a custom website. I’ll fix the code if it’s on our end. So when I contact you guys don’t sit there and say, “oh it must be a coding issue”. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this from support and I’m sure it won’t. be the last. But stop passing back to the customer like we did something wrong. Also it would be a good idea to figure out who, what or why the version of php was changed on us so that this can be prevented in the future. I keep having problems everytime I buy a new domain and try to connect it to Dreamweaver via FTP. Luckily their support chat is always very helpful but spending more than 30mns having them fix the errors and actually having to deal with someone when I’m supposed to be able to do it myself like I used to with GoDaddy and HostMonster is a bit annoying. My name is Jeremy Deedes. I am a UK based life and financial coach. Siteground have been hosting my personal, family and business sites for nearly four years.

I would recommend Siteground for three reasons. First, they are technically competent at hosting websites and providing the tools to manage my sites securely and efficiently.

Second, they provide a range of add-ons that are easy to apply and at a cost that provides real value for money.

Third, they are a very ‘human’ internet business. They avoid over being ‘over-technical’ on their site and provide a very professional and personal help desk. I have only had to call on them for assistance four or five times since I started with them, and they have always sorted things out for me with patience and a smile (which is great as more often than not it was my mistake in the first place).

If there is one thing that they could improve its their support pages which are at times a little thin. Some slightly longer, downloadable pdfs covering such things as site security, domain management and add-ons would be really useful. As with so many firms these days, their support documentation is written in terms of ‘This is the feature and this is what it does’ rather than ‘This is what I want to achieve and this is how you should go about it’.

None the less, I am very impressed with Siteground and have no hesitation in recommending them.

I moved from Bluehost to Siteground a couple of years ago because of support issues and have never looked back. Siteground’s technical features are excellent but where they really shine is in the quality of their support.

Their online chat is available 247 with well qualified operators always ready to assist.

Once, in about 10 support chats (all related to my lack of experience with website building in Wordpress), I have had to escalate to a senior support technician - Siteground have an auto escalation facility in thei chat system - and the problem was resolved in a few moments.

These guys are just brilliant. I wish all hosting / software companies offered this level of support.

I’m moving several websites from GetFlyWheel to SiteGround due to several things.

  1. GetFlyWheel’s service has tanked.

During our migration, we had one plugin that would break the site when using php 7 (obviously GetFlyWheel isn’t using that yet). Please note that most hosting providers are still using php 5.6 or lower.

I really like SiteGround for how easy it is to do techy stuff since I’m not good with technical aspects of building websites. However, I want to give a huge thumbs up to T. Spoke to Nayden this evening, he was a huge help! These guys are extremely competent. I was fed up with my previous host’s (WebHostingHub) insistence on not supporting Let’s Encrypt and looked around for a new host. Somehow I came across SiteGround and started a live chat regarding the technical feasibility to transfer two tools I was using, the Piwik and Hesk. In no time I got all the answers and was convinced to initiate the transfer straight away. They even undertook the job of transferring the contents of my web site from my previous host. Most importantly they support Let’s Encrypt, which means my web site will be accessible through https at no additional cost, which is absolutely great. I must also say their pricing plans are very competitive.

I have an online magazine and resource website for NJ historians. I am by no means an expert in this stuff but whenever I had questions about how to configure something, SiteGround techs have always been patient and able to help me work through the issues successfully. I needed to use their support chat a half-dozen times or so in the past two years and the wait time for a tech has always been brief. This stands out for me because of the awful experiences I have had with other tech supports over the years! These folks don’t just read from scripts but seem to listen to the specific problem and walk me through it or just take care if for me.

Their services (I use web and email hosting) have been affordable with no noticeable downtime. I had been with Yahoo/Aabacco before and had hours of downtime a week and awful customer service experiences. I finally got rid of them and switched to SiteGround. Best move I made!

I also do graphic design and whenever clients have wanted a website created, I have always recommended SiteGround for their hosting.

I was on other shared hosting provider before a freelancer asked me to move to an unmanaged vps. This force me to hire a freelancer again to manage and watch the vps, but unfortunately moving to unmanaged vps takes my website down several times a day everytime i upload pictures simultanously and this is embarrasing, i run my shop on woocommerce and i started to read some expert review until i found siteground. Their support is always fast. They really try to solve your problem even thou it is outside of their responsibilities. They are fast, genuine,competent but never smarmy. And that is the way I want tech support.

I like there feature that you can with one button click make a copy of your WordPress site. Make development on it. Then with one button click deploy it. There is also have git support if you are really serious.

There are some features I would like to see more of in the future: NodeJS, Docker, Windows hosting.

There are times (such as with my last company 1and1.com) where it was very clear that english was not their first language. I use the Wordpress chat. These chat-techs are fabulous. The chat picks up VERY quickly, they walk you through what you need until you’re absolutely sure you got it, even if you’re new and unsure. They don’t hurry you with your questions. There have been times when they’ve just fixed the problem for me by accessing my site.They also tell me how to address things so they don’t happen again. Extremely helpful. Siteground’s support instructions are well-written and crystal clear. Great resource. Also, this group was great pre-sale, when I had never created a website in my life and had no idea at all what I was doing or even that such a thing as a “hosting provider” existed. I got lucky that I found them. Siteground is a no-brainer….They are very much responsible for pretty much never having to worry about my website. I maintain and write posts: that’s it!

I was VERY, VERY excited to switch some of my more important sites over to SiteGround, though ended up switching back to my previous hosting provider in less than 24 hours! I went with the GoGeek level.

Cons: 1.) If you had those domains on CloudFlare already, SiteGrounds support wants you to DELETE your domains in your CloudFlare account, then re-add them via their platform, even though CloudFlare says you do NOT need to do this to have the Railgun switched to theirs.

2.) Was having an issue activating the Let’s Encrypt SSL cert on 2 of the sites, so I installed some temporary ones so the sites would work. Had to have tech support try and fix it… and they did on one of the sites, BUT then the site they couldn’t fix, they had removed the temp SSL I was using, didn’t put it back, and left my site offline (and told me to try it again in an hour)!!!!!!!!!

3.) I’m not a fan of how they do the CPU thing. With my other provider, you get let’s say 20% of the CPU dedicated to you, and you can use that 20% all day long, etc. With Siteground, you can only use 4000 seconds/hr - and counts EACH script/site visit, etc, and a max of 40,000/day. While these numbers seem reasonable — somehow my sites (3 sites - which get about an average of 50 human visitors a day to each site) according to their things was at over 8,500 in a 2 hour period… and I just didn’t want to risk them shutting my sites off. Now yes, I was getting a lot of bogus traffic hitting one of my sites from China IP addresses, but still.

4.) One of my sites was giving me a 403 error after switching over to their servers. This was because I mistyped the directory that site was in (oooops). Personally, I like putting the add-on domains into a directory outside of the public_html. When I contacted tech support about the 403 error (because I didn’t catch the mistype), they told me that I had to have ALL of my addon domains under the public_html. This was the first experience with their chat tech support people… and each experience that I had with their chat tech support people showed me that the support techs were very limited in their knowledge.

Pros: 1.) Overall site load time for each site was about 0.1 to 0.2 seconds faster overall. TTFB though was twice as long (went from about 0.170.19 on average to 0.30.4 on average). The TTFB I attribute to the Railgun not being activated.

2.) Liked being able to set which PHP version/directory, though the versions of PHP that were available were out of date. PHP 7 was 7.0.17 (and 7.1.3), though PHP 7.0.18 (7.1.4) has been out now for 9 days. PHP 7.1.4 fixed an issue with opCache that was causing an issue for some sites that used certain aspects of JetPack within Wordpress. My previous host had this updated within about 5 days after it was available.

We transferred over to SiteGround in October of 2017 after a website hack.

Since that time, we have been continually surprised and delighted with the speed and assistance of SiteGround’s Tech Support.

Recently, we experienced issues with one of the main plugins for our business after a major update. We tried various methods to identify the problem on a staging site (which is incidentally free with SiteGround), without success.

The plugin provider had not been able to assist us after 2 weeks of writing back and forth. And we were growing tired waiting for a reply.

Eventually, we decided to ask SiteGround to cast their expert eyes on the problem. Hey Presto, after 30 minutes, they replied and pinpointed the issue. We should have asked them for help sooner!

Really we can’t speak highly enough of their customer service. Yes, you might pay a little more for some of plans, but it is so well worth it. Their customer services goes above and beyond.

After this latest experience, we have decided to transfer all of our websites to SiteGround, and will recommend them to our friends and colleagues.

I just had another great support experience with Siteground hosting.

I upgraded to PHP 7, but my theme was apparently not working very well with the newest version? So I got blank pages when I wanted to edit some posts, and also could not delete posts, which gave me the same errors.

As I’m not a techie, staring at at blank page can be very frustrating. Especially if you have a lot of posting to do and schedule them. But only one support ticket and 18 minutes later, all is fixed and operating fine again.

Since I had a few other hosting providers before finding Siteground, I can not express how valuable good support is. And Siteground is just AWESOME at it! I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Been using Siteground for 12 months. Their support is fantastic in terms of speed and knowledge. The features (Clouldflare with HTTPS support, backups, supercacher, staging, well managed servers, and the list goes on) in the Go Geek offering are very good value in the initial 12 months (50% off). You then need to make the decision if you want to renew for 12 months with 10% off or 2 years 20% etc.. That is when they can seem expensive compared to others. But, you get what you pay for in life. If you like the service, the technology and it sits there running your site(s) with limited interaction from you, then sometimes worth paying a little extra. They did increase the discount on a 12 month renewal, so always worth asking rather than accepting the renewal price.

SiteGround is by far the greatest hosting provider I’ve ever been with and after a somewhat lengthy support ticket with them I don’t think I will every leave.

They were able to help us set up some custom php forms for a client of ours on a subdomain so that they would still function how they were created originally at their previous host.

I can’t thank them enough for helping us out with something most other hosting companies would charge you for which is great when you don’t have very much knowledge of server configurations and settings.

Firstly it needs to be said that Siteground’s reviews are completely biased.

When on a support chat, if you rate them highly it offers to redirect you to a third party reviewing platform, like this one. If you rate the chat negatively - it doesn’t!

So no wonder there aren’t many negative reviews here. I feel it just reflects the company as a whole.

My siteground experience has been horrible and has lost me business due to the account limitations on their accounts with some months having 3+ down days.

They limit ‘cpu time usage’ and ‘account executions’ which isn’t ever mentioned pre-sale - and my site, at only 30k visits a month has too a high stats in those, even on the gogeek plan which should handle “100k vistors a month”. When pressed they simply try to up-sell you to an $80 per month account with no limits.

If you have any amount of traffic, you’re going to be struggling to cope on their shared servers.

In regards to their support, I do appreciate how easily it is to get hold of someone (which can sometimes be hard with other hosts), but English is their second language and it’s often so frustrating being on calls or chats for over a hour just to convey what’s going wrong. Often the staff are unhelpful or rude as well.

Most of the time however, their staff simply tell me to “hire a developer” - it’s the go to response whenever something is wrong.

I would AVOID at all costs unless you have an extremely tiny site. But why bother with the premium cost here if any host will do.

SiteGround is my 4th hosting company, I only have 9 sites running but I wish I’d found them earlier because the other hosts caused me significant financial loss.

SG takes the pressure off me when creating sites for clients.

FTW1) I was in a client meeting and they asked a question I could not answer.

I logged into my SG account and went to Support chat (the client and his team watched as I did it). I asked the question and the client was astounded at the high level of support as the perfect answer came back.

Right away he agreed to sign up to SG and he was impressed by my selection of host. This shone a very good light on me and my skills.

FTW2) I had bad bots all over my site. It was fixed within 2 minutes by SiteGround. This saved me hours of stomach-churning efforts to fix it, and I used the time saved to create a prototype for a new client.

I think the service I’ve received from SiteGround is exemplary. I have dozens of sites hosted with SG.

However, I do have one complaint. When I set up sites from my clients, I am required to use my email address, which is already in use, and gets rejected by the system.

It is inconvenient to have to invent a new address and then have the account setup with that email.

While SG keeps the needs of the customer in mind in most all measures, in this situation, they have let me down.

However, this inconvenience shouldn’t bother most customers, just people like me who have many accounts with them.

I had an issue with the site. I talked to the first rep and he put in a ticket for me. The ticket said it was an issue with my theme. I had not changed anything since it last worked, so I was not sure that was the issue. The said they changed it to twentyfifteen and I should be good to go. I checked and it still was the same issue. I did a chat again and explained the issue and asked if it was related to our use of Lets Encrypt and he said he would check and then changed my theme to twentysixteen and told me to check… I got in reactivated my theme and all my plugins were disabled, so I re-enabled them. SiteGround just helped enormously in an instant evening chat session (let alone endless string-pushing tickets) in 20 minutes for me to upload new site files, import database and edit configs, point temp URL and resolve last issues to ensure all links and graphics worked - something 2 other hosters “helped” me waste most of a day each to mess around with. I had a problem with email spoofing. The tech fixed it for me in about 3 minutes. I used to use GoDaddy. The online CHAT support is very good and my supporter was excellent. The issue that is concerning me, is that after 2 weeks of full function, I suddenly had a complete block (I was told) on my IP address???

So, today a problem appears out of nowhere – not recognizing me/password/user, etc…. It took us an hour to find out and solve the problem. I’m happy to be functional on email again, but it’s worrying to think that I might be stuck off-line, for no understandable reason.

So, as of today, I have to say “‘great suport team” but I’m concerned about the reliability of Site Ground as a “whole” as a hosting site. I’m going to continue for a while, but I am concerned. Thanks.

Changed a password in c PANEL database and was horrified when I loaded my site to be greeted with a large message NOT ABLE TO ACCESS DATABASE. I changed the password back but still no access. I enrolled on a server plan , and then for personal reasons decided I could not go on with my plan and kindly asked for a refund. After a polite conversation and explanation they refunded me !!! Great support !! + PROS: Support - CONS: Not clean apache server but Apache plus ngnix. That info is for WAM users. This is NOT a CONS by any means !! Just Coffeecup software is incompatible with nginx servers.

Superb service and uptime; clear, nonsense-free, understandable advice to novices. Always helpful. On the downside, the webchats have a tendency to end mid-chat due to connectivity issues and the chats can’t then be reconnected. You have to start a new one. I have started keeping a running record of my chats for future reference so I don’t have to go through the whole thing again. That said, the customer service representatives are brilliant and always get you answers.

I have been a Siteground user for a couple of years now, with a GoGeek account. I have had no issues with the site. It is much more responsive that other hosts I have used before. Also, their tech support is excellent. I just had a pretty obscure issue with trying to ftp to my account using secure FTP. The agent responded in about 5 minutes with the answer, and then he changed my setup so I will not have this issue again. Highly recommended. + PROS: Super support, very knowledgeable techs. Good response for a shared hosting service. - CONS: Not the cheapest, but reasonable for what you get.

It took three chat sessions to resolve an issue I had. One tech told me one thing and another tech told me something else. In the end I finally got a tech that resolved the issue with the solution I originally proposed. During the process I had to boot it up to another level twice (I do like this feature.) I also noticed the chat session timed out and closed and would not let me back in saying I was still in a chat session. The times chat session timed out tech never got back with me to give me an update, this time out thing should be fixed. I do like the product though and feel once everything is up and running I will be very pleased. I have built one website and it is running very well. I can now build my second one now that matters seem to be resolved.

I came across ReviewSignal’s benchmark for WordPress hosting and it seems like Siteground was awesome based on the statistics I could see. I had to try it for myself and the speed and support that I received was nothing but so awesome. The speed is just awesome. I have never seen WordPress caching like this. + PROS: The Level 1, Level 2 cache and Memcached is just awesome. - CONS: I see very less addons on the packages that could be purchased, things like additonal storage, may be more cpu resoources, everything else I have no complains.

I was a complete novice when it came to websites or hosting providers or WordPress sites. We changed to Siteground from WP Engine at the suggestion of our developer. The transition was very easy, and the site worked. We had some persistent problems that existed on WP Engine that the Siteground folks were able to eliminate. I think that is because they have more tools with their C Panel versus the WP Engine custom interface, which seemed to cause problems.

The only problem is speed. WP Engine load times were better. + PROS: Almost everything is better and easier about siteground than it was with WP Engine. - CONS: The load time is slower then with WP engine, and I would be interest in making it faster.

We had a malware infection. I don’t blame SiteGround for this, I blame the loser hacker who did it. I assumed this was caught by our Hackalert subscription, but it was actually caught by SiteGround’s very own cron job that runs on their servers every 24 hours! What an added bonus! I realize they can’t cover or fix the damage caused by this, but I feel much better knowing we are covered in 2 ways! Yes, our site was taken down, but it’s keeping others from visiting it and being infected. This just highlights their high standards. I did a chat with Darko Z and he was incredibly helpful and informative. Our site has always been up, haven’t noticed any downtime at all until now, which is understandable with the infection. I’ve never had 100% uptime with any other site I’ve managed. SiteGround will be my recommendation to others. + PROS: Great service, support, great technical associates, and high standards. - CONS: None noticed yet, and I don’t expect any. Great job everyone!

I went from Dreamhost to Bluehost to SiteGround and haven’t looked back. I’ve no tech knowledge though I’m somewhat tech savvy I’d say, and SG just makes the whole experience a breeze. Live chat 247 with actual PEOPLE there who LISTEN to what you say and solve your problems. There’s been at least 2 instances when it was faster to proceed over the phone than keep chatting / typing and I got the call back immediately. If i could rate them 12 stars – i would.

Here you got a live support team- who you can chat with- within minutes/seconds. And they are extremely helpful. I dont think they have billed me once – and im totally noob on the web & run a sucessfull netshop for years thanks to these guys.

The previously company I had before these guys was billing me out of business, took days to reply. + PROS: Best prices Best support (IMPORTANT) Quick support (Chat immidiatly) Cool guys and girls to speak with. I am extremely disappointed with side ground!

I had a good start and the sales raps are very friendly.

The horror startet after I had bought the geek package. My homepage was down for 5 days. I lost money, clients and a lot of trust within my community. The technical support was not reachable for 48 hours and was not very helpful (but friendly).

I very angry how side ground treats customer. I have talked to the head of technical support who promised me an upgrade…nothing happened!

Now I am trying to get my money back but all that happens is, that I can t reach somebody and if so, I get disconnected all the time.

I would never recommend this service to anybody!!!! + PROS: Good marketing - CONS: If you got problems you are alone Customer support just disconnect you if they don t know how to handle you Promises are made but not fulfilled

I’ll be signing up with SiteGround in a couple days for their GoGeek Shared Hosting, then I’ll upgrade to their Cloud Hostin in about 3-6 months. The customer service representative in the Live Chat was very helpful and went out of his way to make sure I wasn’t going to be disappointed if I did choose to sign up with SiteGround. DreamHost’s solution DreamPress is a waste of time to what SiteGround has. I just canceled my account with DreamHost yesterday and I’ll be moving my 3 domains over to SiteGround in a couple days. Glad to say.

Everything I’ve read by neutral reviews have only said good things about WordPress Hosting on SiteGround. Good reliability and good customer service. + PROS: Customer Service Knowledgeable

Just to tell, Siteground have a really bad support, and I feel like this is really a thing to notice !

I have a client who have chosen siteground to host their site, and strange things is happen from time to time, which I haven’t seen before at other hosting companies.

When we are contacting the live support, I have to write our problem first, which can take a long time to clear out, and then they answer it very shortly and we are 8 out of 10 times “disconnected” after that answer. Leaving us still unclear of what to do.

We have used hours and hours of trying to get support, and the best way is to open a support ticket, which will then be answered by up to 6 different “supporters”.

So the conclusion from my side is that, I will never recommend siteground to anybody because of the bad service. They might be good on something, But I feel that I have to sort everything out myself.

I have years of worst experience with other so called “LEADER IN HOSTING” in fact all of them are liar, one month ago I signed-up to Siteground. I opened account for a month and paid 32 USD . Today is my renewal and I don’t have enough money in my credit card as I am in PK I don’t have PayPal account too. They guys called me and gave me discount I am shocked How is it possible they response in just 30 seconds on live chat, they also support me on my WP site when I stuck. Led to believe that my wordpress could be transferred right over, as is.

Found out after signing up it couldn’t be, so my blog no longer worked. Even after installign the same theme etc, didn’t work.

You should make it clear that transferring your wordpress does not mean transferring ‘as is.’ In fact you imply the opposite (though don’t directly say so of course.)

Waste of an evening, happy to get the refund and just wish I could give my domain fees to another company.

Kamen in support was super helpful though, even walking me through a process another rep told me he was not allowed to help me with (trivial as it was.) Hire more Kamen’s and be more upfront with what your transfer service includes/does not include.

He answered all my questions very professionally and also made me aware of the savings if I chose an annual package as well as told me of the free domain offer. He overcame every objection and this is a very good skill to have. I read all the other great reviews about your service. The features you offer are amazing in comparison to other hosts. So I had been previously website domain hosted at Network Solutions. Our site was hacked because of old Windows servers that had been compromised because of not being updated. After damage control, I searched for another hosting company that wouldn’t give me the corporate shrug. Thank my luck, I found SiteGround. They have been so awesome, all the way, in every sense of the word. I subscribe to Hack Alert but even without it I feel confident in their advanced technology and proactive implementation for keeping me safe. Would recommend to everyone. The 247 chat support has been a lifesaver!

we are in the early phases of building a new site. SiteGround was recommended to me to support the bandwidth, platform and support we’ll need. I spent a few minutes chatting with Stan. He was great. Stan was informative, helpful and frankly, a cool person on the other end of a faceless communication medium…We’ll be doing business. :) (as far as the “speed, uptime, value” things below, i checked the maximum, based on the little information that i gave Stan, and his replies….i have every confidence that once we get launched, i’ll say the very same. looking forward to a partnership with you guys. thanks!

Alexander was amazing - he quickly resolved an issue that two others at siteground could not resolve. He took the time to explain the issue and how he resolved it, and then what I would need to do in future if i wanted to replicate or back out the change - Alexander is AWESOME!!!

Pros: Not clear how to interpret the sliders to the right i.e. features/uptime as the don’t seem pertinent to the help i needed. but the rest of the experience was great.

Cons: remote control or sharing desktop would be helpful in communicating between customer and siteground agent

Site-ground are the most professional web hosts I have seen. I have been with my previous host for a decade and they have lost me. The reason - technical support. Site-ground tech support might be hidden away somewhere in eastern Europe, but who cares. They do a brilliant job. On every single occasion they have been patient and helpful. I shall recommend Site-ground to everyone, everywhere.

Pros: Everything - I have spent months building a new website using the SG server as a build platform. On every occasion their response has been immediate and helpful.

Cons: A tad costly - but you do get what you pay for

I love the support that I get with Siteground. This is the only hosting company that I recommend, not only for the service but the uptime and speed of my wordpress sites. I’ve been to hostgator, blue host, and GoDaddy. Siteground is better than all of them.

I have called upon Sitegrounds tech support many times. They have resolved my issue and their services are wonderful. Their Go Geek package is the best! I highly recommend SiteGround.

Pros: Go Geek Account is the best. Cpanel options are many and great. 24 hr Tech support is amazingly wonderful Absolutely the best hosting company I have been with. I highly recommend!

Cons: I have NEVER, had a negative experience with this company. I’m a web designer and have several sites and domains with them. Their services are great. No cons here.

I have been employed by hosting companies (outsourcers) for over 20 years, and I have yet to find a better web hosting company than SITEGROUND. I have websites hosted elsewhere, by reputable companies, but I have to say SITEGROUND is the best, and most professional available.

WOW — what a helpful team you have SiteGround. I am a complete noob, so naturally my brand new & first site crashed after I made some really simple text changes. I tried to solve the issue myself after one of the team pasted a “How to do it Yourself” link to me. This did not work, and another team member helped restore my site. This type of service is SO important for securing a growing customer base. I will certainly be forwarding my pleasant experience to an international forum where I am a member.

Customer service is second to none. I just spent over an hour with Simeon working to sort out my domain names, domain forwarding and wordpress hosting. Always get things sorted with Siteground, there really know their stuff.
